Most people would tell you that fall outfits can be daunting. Unlike summers and winters, fall outfits have a much wider color palette, and an equally daunting range of cuts and layering.
You can use different colors from different palettes to make for a really impactful outfit – or you can go for something understated and minimalistic.
The sheer range of options when it comes to fall outfits makes people stick to the safer palettes and combinations.
But the great thing about fall outfits is that you can always experiment with them to locate your personal style, and because they allow for such experimentation – you will have a lot of ways of styling yourself.
There are basically three rules when it comes to fall outfits – first, go for something cozy and functional.
You do not need to wear something that is trending just for the sake of it. Two, go for something that brings out your personal taste. You would need some experience with this, and our guide will help you navigate this better.
And three – make sure you keep layers handy. Fall outfits should be flexible enough to help you look your best in hotter and colder weathers.
So without further ado, read our guide to figure these outfits out better

Fall Outfits For Guys
Outfit 1
This first combination makes for a professional, as well as fashionable, impact. The reason it looks like it has an element of professionalism in it is the color blue.
Notice the number of blue shades that this outfit combines – from the blue checks of the shirt to the blue texture of the overshirt.
When going for a shirt-on-shirt combination like this one, make sure that the overshirt is loose enough to accommodate the one at the base.
Shirts are generally not as fitted as tees, so even the one at the base would need some space. The cap adds a hint of playfulness to the look, while the suede boots help root it.
The best element here, though, is the backpack with the brighter shade of blue making it stand out.
Outfit 2
For those of you who prefer a sunnier color palette, a lighter and brighter combination of colors in the elements of your outfit, something like this might work the best.
The base of the look is the mustard yellow sweater that is layered on top of a pale blue shirt. That yellow is toned down by the muted color of the jacket.
Then, the look of the jacket and the sweater is complemented by the off-white trousers that adds a lightness to the look.
You can finish the look with a hat and a pair of brown boots.
Outfit 3
If you want to play it safe, or if you need to have a few fall outfit options for a more professional setting – something like this can be perfect for you. The colors here are all on the darker, moodier side of the palette.
Start with a grey sweatshirt, preferably something in a darker grey. Layer that base with a black jacket.
The metal jackets stand out because of the canvas provided by the black jacket. The look is completed by the earth toned trousers and the brown boots.
Outfit 4
You can also go for a certain degree of contrast in a moodier look for fall. This look, for instance, starts with a black sweatshirt base and contrasts that with a denim jacket.
This jacket is not going to be as thick. Bear in mind that because you are going for a sweatshirt as the base of your look, you would need it to have a layer that can accommodate that base piece of clothing. Sweatshirts are usually not as fitted.
Outfit 5
You can also have a patterned sweater as the base of your look, but in this case, make sure that the rest of the look does not get too overwhelming. You want the sweater to be the base of the look and also the central piece of it.
The rest of the look from the olive green blouson jacket to the denims and the brown boots, are meant to bring out the impact of the sweater.
