How to Plan the Perfect Kelowna Vacation

If you're looking for a vacation destination that has it all, look no further than Kelowna. This beautiful city in the heart of British Columbia offers something for everyone. From world-class skiing and golfing to stunning lakeside views, there's something for everyone in Kelowna. In this blog post, we will provide some tips on how to plan the perfect Kelowna vacation!

1) Choose your dates carefully.

Kelowna is a popular destination, so make sure to book your accommodations well in advance. The peak season for summer tourism is typically from June to September. If you want to plan a ski or snowboarding trip, the peak season is from December to March.

If you're looking to avoid the crowds, consider visiting during the shoulder seasons of May and October. Assuming you want to visit during the peak season, we recommend booking your accommodations at least two months in advance.

2) Determine your budget.

Before you start planning your dream vacation, it's important to set a budget. This will help you narrow down your options and make sure you don't overspend. When deciding on your budget, be sure to factor in the cost of accommodations, food and drink, activities, and transportation.

If you're looking for a place to stay, there are many great hotels and resorts in Kelowna. For those on a budget, there are also several affordable Airbnbs available. No matter where you stay, be sure to enjoy the stunning views of Okanagan Lake!

3) Enjoy the food and wine.

When it comes to food and drink, Kelowna has many great restaurants to choose from. Some of the best restaurants in Kelowna include Frankie We Salute You!, Antico Pizza Napoletana, and Bouchons.

There are also several wineries in the area, so be sure to check out the local wine tours. Once you try some of the local Kelowna wine, you will be glad you did.

4) Get out and explore.

If you are visiting in the warmer months, Kelowna is home to many great parks and trails. Some of the best places to explore include Myra Canyon Park, Knox Mountain Park, and Paulson Summit Recreation Area.

In addition to hiking and biking, there are also many great golf courses in Kelowna. If you're looking for a challenge, be sure to check out the local golf courses.

Okanagan Lake is also a great place for swimming, boating, and fishing (as well as photoshoots!) so be sure to pack your swimsuit and enjoy some time on the water.

5) Be sure to visit downtown.

Downtown Kelowna is a great place to explore, with plenty of shops and restaurants to enjoy. Some of the best places to visit downtown include The Keg, Cactus Club Cafe, and Harvey's.

Be sure to take some time to wander through the local art galleries and farmer's markets as well. You're sure to find something that catches your eye.

6) Plan your flight ahead of time.

The best way to get to Kelowna is by flight. International airports like LAX and YVR offer direct flights to Kelowna. If you're coming from within Canada, there are also several great options for flying into Kelowna.

Once you arrive in Kelowna, be sure to rent a car or take a taxi to your accommodations. The city is spread out and it's the best way to get around.
