Danielle Cooper has reinvented androgyny. She has deconstructed the stereotypes in dressing and dresses like a man in charge. Not the old bulk-muscle man, though, but the sexier, leaner and suave man, with just a hint of danger lingering in his (or in this case her) vibes. She has ditched the floral for the pinstripe, stilettos for opera pumps and the trench for the sports coat.
A quick reference to her Instagram handle @shesagent is sure to leave a lasting impact on any fashion-forward man’s mind.
It is not just picking the right clothes; it is assembling them into a great outfit that she excels at. She revamped a pinstripe wool drop crotch suit (the fashion word for a well-tailored suit) in five different ways and each look was a novelty. The one in which she introduced a shawl lapel with the blazer is not just an edgier but also a very comfortable option for guys. If someone wears too much wool underneath to keep the winters at bay it could bulk up a blazer and ruin the look. A removable shawl lapel adds a layer of warmth to the body while upping the fashion quotient. The bonus is that it could be removed, and the blazer worn separately.
One advantage of the male anatomy is wider shoulders. The wrong kind of checks on a shirt can look very repulsive on a woman because of leaner shoulders. For example, the red and black chessboard shirt that she donned in one of her looks makes her frame look a little too disproportionate. Men can carry that off without that risk.
Cooper understands men’s fashion better than most men do. To put her fashion prowess into perspective, it should be put like this: she does not wear a look, she owns a look. It is no mean feat to pull off manly attire with oomph and panache, but Cooper is a case in contrary. Anthologise her looks and a men’s fashion magazine is created. She’s agent, and she triumphs at being one. Check out her Website
