CBD and THC are the two most important substances found in marijuana. While THC can make you feel alert and extremely famished, CBD is known to produce a strong sense of euphoria and relaxation. It is an effective sedative that can make you feel relaxed.

With your first smoke of a joint, CBD will surely make you feel sleepy and very giggly until your body finally starts to slip into a stoney state of high. These effects make it ideal for people who are suffering from insomnia, depression, and anxiety. It also has some anti-inflammatory properties that are also very helpful in reducing joint and back pains and other chronic discomforts that many people experience.

With all the purported health and medicinal value and benefits, it is no wonder that people may eventually think about using CBD oil for their skin. In fact, CBD oil’s benefits for the skin has become a trending topic on various social media.

Skin products containing CBD oil are also becoming hot commodities in both offline and online stores. Various celebrities have also started endorsing skincare products that contain CBD oil.

Other manufacturers have also started capitalizing on the growing interest in CBD oil’s benefits for the skin. In fact, many have started putting marijuana leaves symbol on their products’ branding and container.

But seriously, is there any truth to the CBD oil’s benefits for the skin? Can CBD from marijuana actually do anything helpful for your skin? Should you believe the skincare regimens and beauty products that use CBD oil?

Is this just a fad that will soon fizzle out or is it real? What do scientists actually say about the health benefits that more and more people have started attributing to marijuana and CBD oil? Is there any truth to these claims? Should you start using skincare products with CBD oil?

We did our own literature search and found that, yes, CBD can be beneficial to the human skin.

CBD has always been known to reduce pain. This health benefit is usually attributed to its anti-inflammatory effects. A study published in the Journal of Dermatological Science in 2007 described how scientists have successfully isolated active compounds from marijuana.

These active compounds included THC, CBD, and other cannabinoids. In the experiment done by the scientists, it was found that THC, CBD and other cannabinoids can improve the state of human skin cells when applied topically.

The study found that all cannabinoid compounds in marijuana can successfully stopped inflammation and prevented the overproduction of skin cells that are commonly seen in psoriasis. The study has suggested that cannabinoid compounds in marijuana such as CBD may be beneficial in the management of psoriasis.

However, it is important to note that studies on medicinal properties of various herbs and plants take a long time. There are many aspects that scientists consider including potency, safety, toxicity, effectiveness and dosage.

They also explore the interaction of the active compounds in plants with other medicines and foods being consumed by people. It is no different for CBD oil from marijuana.

With studies still being conducted up to this day to test CBD oil’s benefit for the skin. Also, since no research has been conclusive as of yet, is it worth it to try your luck with CBD oil? Should you try products with CBD oil?

The answer is yes. Despite the fact that studies on the health and medicinal value of CBD oil to the skin are still ongoing, you can still use skin and other dermatological products with CBD oil.

Initial studies on CBD oils’ contribution in helping the skin point to its anti-inflammatory effect on the skin. Conditions of the skin such as eczema, psoriasis, and rosacea may soon be a reality as studies continue on the benefits of CBD oil to human skin. In fact, many universities and research institutions are funding numerous research on CBD oil’s benefits for the skin as of date.

CBD seems to be relatively safe for topical use. If there is anything that scientists are sure of and all agree with, it is that CBD oil is extremely safe and can be used in products for the skin without being alarmed by potential allergy or harm.

As such, if you are one of those who are interested in using CBD oil to keep your skin healthy, supple and beautiful.
