With many watch projects coming to fruition on many crowdfunding platforms in the recent years, the Rvlvr AD6 project is one that really caught our eye.

Today, we’re going to be looking at a campaign that is currently live on Kickstarter- a unique project that is inspired by the revolver firearm, created by the brand Rvlvr (pr. “Revolver”)

Rvlvr is a microbrand based out of Hawaii, and makes timepieces influenced by the revolver. At first glance, the AD6 is a bit more subtle and classic looking than some of their previous projects, but if you take a good look at the dial, the design inspiration becomes clear. The crown is also shaped in the image of a cylinder, which further adds character to this watch.

The face features a multi-layered sandwich dial, with generous amounts of C3 Superluminova in a unique lume pattern.

The casing is made of 316L stainless steel and measures 44mm in diameter. Sitting on top is a 120 click unidirectional bezel that features engraved markings along with a lumed triangle.

The case is water-resistant to 300 meters and has also been equipped with an automatic helium escape valve should you wish to perform some saturation diving with the AD6 on the wrist.

Powering the AD6 is the workhorse NH35A movement that operates at a frequency of 3 Hz and offers a power reserve of around 41 hours. The movement can be looked at through the mineral glass exhibition case back.

The Rvlvr AD6 is a feature-rich dive watch with an intriguing design influence. The watch would be made available in two variants: Stainless Steel and an IP-Gray PVD version with a leather strap.
